Coaches and athletics personnel at Arkansas public schools and open-enrollment charter schools who are found by the Arkansas Activities Association to have recruited students face a permanent statewide ban from coaching or athletics personnel positions

"Recruit" is defined as using undue influence or special inducement to encourage, pressure, or entice a student of any age to transfer to or remain at a school for the purpose of participating in extracurricular activities

"Athletics personnel" includes athletic directors and others actively involved in organizing, training, or coaching athletic events for student athletes

The ban applies to recruitment conducted by employees of schools that are members of the Arkansas Activities Association
