AR SB457

Allows the Post-Prison Transfer Board to discharge from parole or post-release supervision individuals who committed offenses as minors, were given supervision terms exceeding 5 years, and have served at least 5 years without a violation

Removes the previous requirement that the prosecuting attorney consent to discharge before the Board can act

Requires the Board to notify the prosecuting attorney of the judicial district where the person was convicted when deciding to discharge someone

Gives prosecuting attorneys 60 days to object to the Board's discharge decision; if no objection is filed, the person is discharged; if an objection is filed, discharge is denied

Restores the constitutional right to vote for persons discharged under this section, unless otherwise provided by Arkansas Constitution Amendment 51
