Correctional and detention facilities must provide pregnant inmates with timely, regular nutritious meals totaling at least 2,500 calories per day

Facilities must provide access to a female medical provider during medical examinations of pregnant inmates, unless otherwise provided by the facility

Pregnant inmates and those who delivered within the previous 30 days cannot be placed in restrictive housing unless they pose a direct threat to safety or facility operations

Pregnant inmates must be transported in vehicles equipped with seatbelts

Facilities must provide pregnant inmates access to nonprofit educational programming (prenatal care, pregnancy-specific hygiene, parenting classes) and substance abuse treatment
