Arkansas Medicaid Program must reimburse for physical therapy provided in clinic-based settings, expanding beyond the current hospital-based setting reimbursement only

Department of Human Services is required to apply for any federal waiver, Medicaid state plan amendment, or other authority necessary to implement the expanded coverage

Legislative findings cite research showing clinic-based physical therapy leads to lower total costs of care, decreased need for surgical interventions, and reduced long-term opioid use
