Arkansas Senate formally recognizes Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. for its positive community impact in the state, nation, and worldwide

Kappa Alpha Psi was founded January 5, 1911, at Indiana University in Bloomington and is the second-oldest existing collegiate historically Black Greek-letter fraternity

The fraternity has over 150,000 members across 700 undergraduate and alumni chapters in every U.S. state and internationally

Community service activities include feeding the homeless, providing college scholarships, youth mentoring, blood drives, public health seminars, and donating over $1,000,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

A copy of the resolution will be presented to Kappa Alpha Psi leadership by the Secretary of the Senate upon adoption
