Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 38-1102 to clarify that peace officers shall not be prohibited from carrying firearms if they comply with Arizona peace officer standards and training board requirements.

Expands the definition of "political subdivision" to include school districts, charter schools, community college districts, public community colleges, and universities under the Arizona Board of Regents jurisdiction.

Maintains existing exceptions prohibiting firearms in jails, correctional facilities, juvenile detention facilities, secured police facilities, and locations prohibited by federal law.

Preserves court authority to prohibit firearms in courtrooms except when peace officers are providing court security or responding to emergencies.

Clarifies that law enforcement agencies may establish rules consistent with the statute regarding the number, type, model, caliber and brand of firearms carried by peace officers on or off duty.
