Amends section 42-1002 of the Arizona Revised Statutes relating to the Department of Revenue.

Changes the description of departmental operations from singular "is" to plural "are" to indicate multiple areas of responsibility under the director.

Replaces gendered pronouns "his" and "he" with gender-neutral language "the governor's" and "the governor" in provisions describing the director appointment process.

Maintains the existing structure for director appointment by the governor from candidates screened by a five-person committee selected by the governor.

Preserves compensation provisions for the director and department personnel as established through section 38-611.
