State Personnel Board may hear appeals of employee dismissals, suspensions exceeding 40 working hours, or demotions due to disciplinary action as soon as reasonably possible after receiving the written appeal, notwithstanding existing statutory timelines in Arizona Revised Statutes section 41-785.

State Personnel Board may enter its decision on appeal at the board's next open public meeting following the conclusion of the hearing and send the decision to affected parties, rather than following previous procedural requirements.

This section expires and is repealed on December 31, 2011, making these provisions temporary.
