HB 2225 Summary

• Auditor General shall conduct a special audit of the Tourism and Sports Authority established under Arizona Revised Statutes Title 5, Chapter 8

• Audit shall review all contracts from 2008-2009 involving concessionaires, food/beverage services, major league baseball spring training facilities, youth and amateur sports facilities, and community programs

• Audit shall evaluate procurement processes, contract monitoring, facility manager performance agreements, financing sources, construction cost variances, cash flow projections, debt service capabilities, and bondholder recourse

• Auditor General must submit completed audit to the Governor, Senate President, House Speaker, and Secretary of State by December 31, 2010

• Bill becomes effective immediately and repeals on December 31, 2010
