Requires legislators to file written statements disclosing direct financial interests when voting on bills, memorials, or resolutions in which they have such interests.

Statements must identify the legislation, the legislator's vote, and the nature of the financial interest, and must be filed with the chief clerk or secretary of the senate and posted on the legislature's website under a "disclosure of direct financial interest" section.

Legislators must report the direct financial interest as soon as possible after casting their vote.

Exempts interests that apply to all legislators by virtue of their employment as public officers and exempts votes cast in committee of the whole.

Establishes a class 1 misdemeanor penalty for intentional or knowing failure to comply with disclosure requirements.
