Law enforcement agencies, universities, community college districts, cities, towns and counties must post crime statistics on their websites by category for crimes required to be reported to the FBI.

Agencies must maintain posted statistics for at least five consecutive years and report data on a calendar year basis by July 1 of the following year.

Law enforcement agencies must additionally report the number of crimes cleared, cases referred for prosecution and cases cleared by arrest, organized by category.

Agencies without websites must report required statistics on the website of their appropriate governmental jurisdiction.

County attorneys must annually report on their websites the number of cases by category referred for prosecution by each law enforcement agency in their county, with reporting due by July 1 of the following year.
