Hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health care services organizations, disability insurers, group disability insurers, and blanket disability insurers must submit annual electronic reports to the director between January 1-15 containing data on cancer screening examination coverage and claims.

Reports must include total covered individuals, number with coverage for colon/rectal, cervical, breast, and prostate cancer screenings, applicants for such coverage, and claims data showing whether cancer screening claims were paid or denied with reasons for denials.

The Department of Insurance shall aggregate all submitted reports and submit a combined annual report to the Governor, Legislature, and relevant committee chairs by January 31 each year.

Reports must specify screening types used, age when coverage begins, and frequency of covered examinations for each type of cancer screening.

All requirements and reporting provisions sunset and are repealed effective December 31, 2013.
