Requires county attorneys to request another county attorney or the attorney general to prosecute any criminal case in which the county attorney has an actual conflict of interest.

If other prosecutors decline to take the case, the county attorney must request the court appoint a special prosecutor to handle the prosecution.

Special prosecutors receive reasonable compensation set by the court and are paid by the county treasurer after the court reviews completed work.

Compensation for special prosecutors is deducted from the county attorney's budget.
