AZ HCR2040

Establishes a sustainable state parks fund to be administered by the Arizona State Parks Board, funded through annual vehicle registration fees.

Imposes a $9 annual sustainable state parks fee on all motor vehicle registrations in Arizona, excluding commercial motor vehicles.

Directs the registering officer to deposit collected fees into the sustainable state parks fund, which is continuously appropriated for operating, maintaining, and making capital improvements to state parks.

Prohibits the Arizona State Parks Board from charging day-use fees for state parks to vehicles displaying valid Arizona license plates, though special service fees for tours and overnight camping may still be charged.

Submits the proposition to voters at the next general election for approval as required by the Arizona Constitution.
