AZ SB1101

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 13-3102 regarding misconduct involving weapons by expanding exemptions to carrying concealed deadly weapons without a permit.

Allows active duty city, town, or county detention officers who are weapons qualified by their employing agency to carry concealed weapons without a permit.

Allows retired city, town, county, state, or federal law enforcement officers, corrections officers, or detention officers who were weapons qualified at any time by their employing agency to carry concealed weapons without a permit, with verification through photographic identification or letter from the employing agency or county sheriff.

Removes previous exemption for persons with 10+ years of consecutive law enforcement service in the United States, replacing it with the more specific detention officer and retired officer provisions.
