AZ SB1209

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-3105 regarding forfeiture of weapons and explosives upon conviction.

Requires courts to order forfeiture of deadly weapons, dangerous instruments, or explosives used, displayed, or unlawfully possessed during felony convictions, with sale to a federal firearms licensee who shall resell according to federal and state law.

Allows courts to order forfeiture of deadly weapons or dangerous instruments in convictions under section 13-2904, subsection A, paragraph 6 or section 13-3102, subsection A, paragraphs 1, 2, 8, or 10.

Mandates forfeiture of weapons or explosives used, displayed, or unlawfully possessed when a person charged with a title violation is found incompetent under Arizona Rules of Criminal Procedure rule 11.

Specifies that prohibited articles shall be destroyed or otherwise properly disposed if they cannot be legally sold under federal or state law.
