AZ HB2026

Exempts the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) from compliance with title 41, chapter 6 of Arizona law.

Establishes a board procedure for adopting, amending, or repealing rules for administration of the retirement plan and related articles.

Expands the definition of delinquent employer payments to include articles 2.1, 7, and 8 of the retirement statute, and allows state agencies to deduct delinquent payments from monies owed to employers.

Requires employers to record delinquent payments recovered or deducted from other monies according to applicable accounting and financial reporting standards.

Modifies the outreach education program requirement to allow ASRS to present retirement planning information either in person or through electronic means at least once per year in each county.
