Increases the homestead exemption amount from $125,000 to $250,000 in value for individuals and married couples in Arizona.

Applies the increased exemption to both real property with a dwelling house, condominiums, cooperatives, and mobile homes (with or without land).

Limits homestead exemptions to one per person or married couple, with divorced couples sharing a combined $250,000 exemption for previously joint residences.

Makes the increased exemption amount applicable retroactively to all recorded homestead claims and claims by operation of law when creditors attempt to enforce judgments or liens on or after the effective date.
