First-time DUI conviction requires mandatory equipping of any vehicle operated with a certified ignition interlock device for twelve months beginning on the date of driving privilege reinstatement or department receipt of conviction, whichever is later.

Second DUI conviction within 84 months requires mandatory ignition interlock device installation with driving privilege revocation for one year; court may extend the interlock requirement beyond twelve months.

Court may order ignition interlock device installation for longer than twelve months for both first and second DUI offenses at sentencing discretion.

Ignition interlock device requirement applies to violations of sections 28-1381 and 28-1382 (driving under the influence), replacing prior language that gave courts discretionary authority to order installation.
