Amends the accidental disability retirement provisions in the Corrections Officer Retirement Plan (CORP) under A.R.S. § 38-886.

Clarifies that "average monthly salary" for disability pension calculations is based on the highest salary received during any twelve consecutive months of service within the last ten years, or the total salary divided by months of service if the member has less than twelve months.

Requires that nonpaid or partially paid industrial leave be counted based on the salary the employee would have received in their job classification if not on such leave.

Makes changes to the disability pension calculation method, allowing disabled retirees to receive either 50% of average monthly salary or an amount based on actual years of credited service, whichever is higher.

Applies retroactively to July 1, 1986.
