Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 38-766 to modify how the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) treats retired members who return to work.

Requires retired members working at least 20 weeks per fiscal year and 20 hours per week to resume active ASRS membership, which suspends their retirement benefits until they terminate employment or reach normal retirement date and reapply.

Retired members whose benefits are suspended must repay ASRS any benefits received from the date ASRS notifies them of the active membership status.

Exempts certain positions from suspension requirements if the role represents a true change in position, duties, and title, and the member participates in a different state retirement system rather than ASRS.

Repeals section 38-766.01 and clarifies that returning retirees do not accrue additional retirement benefits, credited service, or long-term disability benefits during their return-to-work period.
