AZ HCR2002

Proposes amendment to Article IX, Section 3 of the Arizona Constitution regarding annual taxation and state budget requirements.

Removes the phrase "in money only" from the constitutional requirement that all taxes levied and collected for state purposes be paid into the state treasury.

Maintains existing constitutional provisions requiring the legislature to provide annual tax sufficient to cover state expenses and to pay state debt principal within 25 years.

Requires voter approval through the next general election before the amendment takes effect, as provided by Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution.
