AZ HCR2017

Proposes an amendment to Article XVI, Section 2 of the Arizona Constitution relating to the National Guard.

Removes obsolete language referring to "the territory of Arizona" and the word "hereafter" from the constitutional definition of the organized militia.

Retains the designation of the organized militia as "The National Guard of Arizona" and its composition as authorized by law.

Requires submission of the proposition to voters at the next general election per Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution.
