AZ SB1105

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 11-1135 regarding how county recorders handle real estate transfer affidavits.

Requires county recorders to scan affidavits and transmit electronic copies to the Department of Revenue and Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records, while sending either original or electronic copies to county assessors.

Changes requirement for county assessors to transmit only the data contained within affidavits (rather than original affidavits) to the Department of Revenue.

Eliminates the requirement that the Department of Revenue maintain a permanent file of all affidavits and removes the provision that recorders and assessors are not required to maintain affidavit files.

Requires counties to transmit original affidavits, once no longer in active use, to the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records for permanent retention.
