SB1130 Summary

• Creates new crime of unlawful sexual conduct by adult probation department or juvenile court employees who coerce victims into sexual contact by threatening to negatively influence or offering to positively influence their supervision or release status.

• Classifies unlawful sexual conduct by probation/juvenile court employees as class 2 felony if victim is under 15, class 3 felony if victim is 15-17 years old, and class 5 felony for all other cases.

• Amends section 13-1419 to add juvenile detention facilities to the list of facilities where unlawful sexual conduct by correctional staff, contractors, and volunteers is criminalized.

• Creates new crime of false reporting or coercing false reports of offenses under sections 13-1409 and 13-1419, making it a class 1 misdemeanor.
