AZ SB1200

Adds subsection F to section 28-1445 allowing persons with suspended driving privileges due to DUI to voluntarily complete alcohol or other drug education or treatment programs at department of health services-approved facilities.

Creates new subsection G in section 28-3319 allowing reduction of ignition interlock device requirement from 12 months to 6 months for first-time DUI offenders who complete voluntary alcohol or drug education/treatment and maintain a functioning interlock device for at least 6 consecutive months.

Specifies that the reduction applies only to persons sentenced pursuant to section 28-1381, subsection I and who have successfully completed the education or treatment program.

Requires the 6-month period to begin from the later of 6 months from the date of violation or completion of all program requirements.
