Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-1807 regarding the crime of issuing a bad check.

Reduces the time frame for paying a bad check from 60 days to 45 days after receiving notice to avoid felony charges.

Applies to bad checks of $5,000 or more; failure to pay within the 45-day period results in a class 6 felony charge instead of a class 1 misdemeanor.

Maintains existing defenses to prosecution, including when the payee knew of insufficient funds, the check was postdated with later sufficient funds, or the insufficiency resulted from an adjustment by the credit institution.
