Government entities, political subdivisions, and institutions of higher education must report to law enforcement when a person is expelled, suspended, or terminated due to violence, threats of violence, or behavior constituting danger to self or others.

Law enforcement officials receiving such reports must transmit the information to the appropriate local or regional health agency or crisis center.

Good faith efforts to report the required information constitute compliance with the reporting requirement.

Establishes new Chapter 48 in Title 41, Arizona Revised Statutes, governing danger to self or others reporting by governmental entities.
