AZ SB1582

Prohibits public officers and employees from using public funds to print, mail, broadcast, or distribute promotional or informational materials featuring the face or voice of candidates for public office during the one-year period before an election.

Defines a candidate as any person who circulates a nomination petition, registers an exploratory committee under Arizona Revised Statutes Title 16, Chapter 6, or registers a candidate campaign committee under Title 16, Chapter 6.

Exempts lawful expenditures made by candidates using Citizens Clean Elections Commission monies from this prohibition.
