Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-3102 to add a new prohibition against carrying a deadly weapon in state buildings, including the house of representatives wing and senate wing of the state capitol building, unless specifically authorized by law.

The new prohibition is classified as a class 1 misdemeanor offense, consistent with similar weapons prohibitions in polling places and public establishments.

Provides exemptions to the state building weapons prohibition for peace officers, military personnel, correctional officers, and persons specifically licensed or permitted by state or federal statute.

Applies the same temporary custody provisions allowing law enforcement officers to take temporary possession of firearms during contacts with persons.
