School districts and charter schools must require and maintain verifiable documentation of residency in Arizona for pupils who enroll, in accordance with guidelines adopted by the department of education.

Every child between ages 6 and 16 must attend school and receive instruction in reading, grammar, mathematics, social studies, and science through public, private, charter, or home school options.

Parents or guardians must enroll children in school for the full time school is in session, or file an affidavit of intent within 30 days if choosing private or home school instruction.
