Honors Dorwan Stoddard, a 76-year-old Tucson resident killed on January 8, 2011 during an assassination attempt on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

Recognizes that Mr. Stoddard heroically shielded his wife Mavy from gunfire during the attack, sacrificing his life to save hers.

Notes that six innocent people were killed in the shooting at Giffords' Congress on Your Corner event in Tucson.

Expresses the Arizona Senate's deep condolences to Mr. Stoddard's surviving family, including his wife, two sons, three stepdaughters, and friends in the Tucson community.
