Establishes a green public schools task force consisting of 9 members, including state legislators, school officials, sustainability experts, and public representatives appointed by legislative and gubernatorial leaders.

Task force shall identify procedures to retrofit public schools to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building standards and recommend a model green cleaning policy.

Task force shall make recommendations on establishing and financing a system for retrofitting existing schools and constructing new schools to promote energy efficiency and sustainability.

Task force must submit findings and recommendations to the governor, president of the senate, speaker of the house, and secretary of state by November 1, 2013.

Task force is repealed on December 31, 2013; members receive no compensation but are eligible for expense reimbursement.
