Transfers operational authority of the mining and mineral museum from the Arizona Historical Society to the Arizona Geological Survey (Department of Mines and Mineral Resources).

Authorizes the state geologist to establish and collect entrance fees for persons age 18 and over, operate a retail gift shop for mineral specimens and mineral-related items, employ a curator, and pay maintenance and operation expenses of the museum.

Establishes a separate account within the geological survey fund consisting of monies from museum entrance fees and gift shop revenue to be used exclusively for museum maintenance and operations.

Removes the state geologist position from the centennial museum advisory council membership while maintaining the council's oversight role for educational programming, curator hiring and retention, and mineral collections management.

Redirects annual allocations from the Arizona centennial special plate fund to the Arizona Historical Society specifically for maintenance and operations of the centennial museum, excluding the mining and mineral museum operations from this funding source.
