AZ HB2135

Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 15-341 to require school district governing boards to prescribe and enforce policies prohibiting pupils from harassing, intimidating, and bullying other pupils based on actual or perceived sexual orientation, in addition to existing bullying prohibitions.

Requires bullying policies to include specific components: confidential reporting procedures, employee reporting requirements, written notification of rights to victims, formal investigation processes, disciplinary procedures, consequences for false reports, and health/safety protections for harmed pupils.

Mandates school districts maintain documentation of all reported incidents for at least six years and establishes procedures for confidentiality and maintenance of this documentation.

Creates new section 15-509 establishing that school administrators who knowingly fail to follow adopted antibullying policies are guilty of unprofessional conduct and shall have their certificate revoked.
