HB 2143 - High School Certificate of Completion

• Authorizes school district governing boards to issue a certificate of completion to students who have not achieved sufficient scores on the Arizona Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) test but have met all other state and district graduation requirements.

• Certificate of completion eligibility requires students to satisfy all other state board of education and school district graduation requirements, and to not qualify for alternative graduation requirements under section 15-701.02.

• Applies only to students who fail to meet the AIMS test passing score requirement and do not meet eligibility criteria for a Grand Canyon diploma or other alternative graduation pathways.
