AZ HB2146

Requires the Auditor General to conduct a special audit of Arizona's Medicaid third-party liability program administered by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS).

The audit shall assess current efforts and methods used to reduce fraud and waste in the program and examine a three-year period of claims.

Permits the Auditor General to contract with a nationally recognized independent auditor if appropriated monies are inadequate, with costs paid by AHCCCS.

Requires the Auditor General to submit the special audit report to the Governor, President of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Secretary of State by November 15, 2013.
