Amends Arizona Revised Statutes § 13-1204 to add strangulation as a form of aggravated assault when a person intentionally or knowingly impedes normal breathing or circulation of blood by applying pressure to the throat or neck or obstructing the nose and mouth.

Classifies strangulation-based aggravated assault as a class 4 felony, matching the penalty for other forms of aggravated assault involving temporary disfigurement or substantial loss of body part function.

Requires that strangulation aggravated assault also meet additional circumstances outlined in domestic violence protection order statutes (§ 13-3601) to constitute the offense.

Maintains existing penalties and classifications for other forms of aggravated assault, including enhanced sentences for assaults on peace officers, prosecutors, and other protected classes.
