• Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 32-1423 regarding licensure requirements for graduates of unapproved medical schools.

• Eliminates the mandatory 24-month hospital internship, residency, or clinical fellowship requirement for graduates of unapproved medical schools that the Arizona Medical Board determines have standards equivalent to approved schools.

• Maintains existing requirements including English language proficiency, a standard certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates (or completion of alternative pathways), and 36 months of total clinical training for most applicants.

• Allows exemption from the additional 24-month training requirement if an applicant completed a fifth pathway program or served 36 months as a full-time assistant professor or higher position at an approved medical school.
