Amends Arizona Revised Statutes section 13-1204 to expand the definition of aggravated assault when committed against health care practitioners.

Extends protection to health care practitioners certified or licensed under title 32, chapters 13, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 19.1, 25, 28, 29, 33, 34, and 35, as well as persons directed by these practitioners during professional duties.

Maintains existing exception that the subdivision does not apply if the perpetrator is seriously mentally ill (as defined in section 36-550) or afflicted with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia.

Classifies aggravated assault against health care practitioners as a class 6 felony, consistent with assault classifications against other protected professionals like teachers and firefighters.
