Prohibits employers from terminating or threatening to terminate an employee who leaves work to attend to a child's emergency after being notified by a school employee, community worker, or law enforcement officer during work hours.

Applies to employees acting as a parent, guardian, or custodian of a child.

Allows employers to terminate or threaten termination only if an employee excessively abuses the protections provided by this statute.

Amends Title 23, Chapter 2, Article 1 of Arizona Revised Statutes by adding section 23-204.
