HB2394 Summary

• Amends Section 16-921 of Arizona Revised Statutes regarding unlawful contributions and solicitation practices by corporations and labor organizations.

• Modifies subsection D to allow insurers and their separate segregated funds to make written solicitations for contributions from licensed insurance producers with exclusive contracts, and includes their families as eligible recipients.

• Removes the "no more than two" solicitation limit language that previously applied to insurance producer solicitations in subsection D.

• Clarifies that insurance producers' independent contractor status is not changed by these solicitation provisions.

• Became effective upon approval by the Governor on March 27, 2012.
