Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 15-342 to allow school district governing boards to include an elective course in high school curricula that permits critical evaluation and examination of the Bible as a literary work.

The course offering is subject to constitutional limitations of both the United States Constitution and the Arizona Constitution.

Makes the course optional for students, not mandatory curriculum.

Effective date is June 30, 2013.
