AZ HB2481

Establishes the Joint Legislative Audit Committee with 5 senators appointed by the president of the senate and 5 representatives appointed by the speaker of the house of representatives, with at least one member from each house's appropriations committee.

Requires no more than 3 appointees from each house to be of the same political party, with the committee chairmanship alternating between the senate and house delegations beginning with the senate delegation.

Directs the committee to meet at least quarterly and grants it power to oversee all audit functions including sunset, performance, special and financial audits, and to appoint an auditor general subject to legislative approval.

Authorizes the committee to subpoena witnesses and require state agencies to comply with audit findings and recommendations regarding statutory compliance.
