• Permits service of summons in forcible entry and detainer cases through a three-day deemed receipt method when personal service is attempted: posting on the tenant's residence entrance and sending by certified mail on the same day.

• Changes grammatical language from "which" to "that" in describing the facts that entitle a plaintiff to possession in forcible entry or detainer actions.

• Maintains existing remedies and rights of persons in possession under leases or other possessory rights superior to the interest being sold, forfeited, or executed upon.
