Government entities and institutions of higher education must report to a local or regional behavioral health crisis line when an employee is suspended at least twice or terminated due to actions constituting imminent danger to themselves or others.

Institutions of higher education must report to a behavioral health crisis line when a student is suspended at least twice or expelled due to actions constituting imminent danger to themselves or others.

Reporting entities are granted civil liability protection and cannot be held liable for providing or withholding information required under this reporting mandate.
