Amends Arizona Revised Statutes Section 41-2061 regarding the Department of Weights and Measures director appointment process.

Removes the requirement that the governor appoint the director from names submitted by a search committee.

Eliminates the nine-member search committee that was previously established to solicit, screen applicants, and submit up to three names to the governor for the director position.

Retains the director's authority to appoint an advisory committee of five members to review, advise, and make recommendations on department administration and proposed rules.
