HB 2703 Summary

• Adds section 36-2903.08 to Arizona Revised Statutes to authorize the AHCCCS director to obtain federal Medicaid matching funds for monies deposited into the trauma and emergency services fund.

• Directs the director to deposit all federal matching funds received into the trauma and emergency services fund for use as prescribed by existing statute section 36-2903.07.

• Requires the director to adopt rules necessary to implement the federal matching funds provisions.

• Exempts AHCCCS administration from standard state rule-making procedures under title 41, chapter 6, but requires public notice and at least 30 days for public comment before adopting or amending rules.
