Requires homeowners' associations for condominiums (regulated under title 33, chapter 9) and planned communities (regulated under title 33, chapter 16) to register with the secretary of state beginning January 1, 2013.

Associations must provide the secretary of state with the association name, address, telephone number, number of units, cross streets of location, and year established; updated information must be submitted within 90 days of any changes.

Secretary of state shall post registry information on its website by March 1, 2013, making it publicly available.

Secretary of state may charge a registration fee to be determined by rule and shall contract with a nonprofit corporation that manages condominiums and planned communities to operate the registry.

Initial registry contract term is three years with an option to renew for five years; registry does not apply to timeshare plans or associations regulated under title 33, chapter 20.
