Proposes a constitutional amendment to enact specific legislative district boundaries for the 2012 primary and general elections, superseding maps adopted by the 2011 independent redistricting commission.

Establishes that passage of this amendment constitutes enactment of legislative district lines described in HR _____ (a separate bill filed with the Secretary of State), with the state attorney general representing Arizona's interests in related legal matters.

Maintains the existing independent redistricting commission framework for future redistricting cycles, consisting of five members with no more than two from the same political party and established by February 28 of years ending in one.

Submits the proposition to voters at a special election on May 15, 2012, as authorized under Article XXI of the Arizona Constitution.
